How Credit Card Fee Savings Boost Your Property Value
Cap Rates

As a storage unit owner, you already know that every dollar of revenue matters. What many owners don’t realize is that small operational savings can dramatically increase the market value of your facility – and it all comes down to something called Capitalization Rate (Cap Rate) – and that’s what we specialize in.

Saving 4% on credit card processing fees with BestCardFees isn’t just cutting costs – it’s creating long-term wealth. At a 7% cap rate, every $1 saved adds $14.28 to your property’s value – and that can be refi’d tax free and put in your pocket or reinvested.”

FAQs For High Risk Merchants

Why is a business considered high risk?

There are many reasons why a business might be considered high risk. A few of them are: 1.) if you have a high charge back ratio, 2.) if you’re processing cards without the individual present, 3.) you offer recurring billing, subscriptions, free trials, 4.) you’re in an industry that has a reputation for high fraud rates and chargebacks. Keep in mind that all merchants carry risk. Banks simply want to make sure their time spent on paperwork and disputes is worth their return.

Can I accept credit cards for cannabis?

No. Card brands and regulators have left no room for interpretation in their stance on credit cards being utilized for the processing of cannabis transactions. Any solution claiming to offer credit card processing for cannabis is in direct violation of Visa/Mastercard operating rules as well as Federal regulations (refer to our PIN Debit solution above ).

Can I simply use cashless ATMs instead?

Cashless ATMs (a.k.a. Point of Banking or POB) tend to mask the true nature of transactions by converting a pin-based debit transaction into an ATM transaction, which consequently is a form of money laundering. The Federal government is dramatically cracking down on this practice and has notified the primary Cashless ATM companies in the US.

Why could I get hit with a Reg E violation with my ATM?

Cashless ATMs or POB transactions tend to change the physical address associated with the now converted ATM type transaction to be associated with a non-cannabis related business. While this may seem harmless it is in violation of Regulation E (9)(a)(5)(i).

Why our PIN Debit program?

In order to participate in our pin-based debit program merchants are required to go through a detailed underwriting process. During this process not only is our underwriter ensuring full KYCC requirements are met, but they’re also going to verify full transparency in the lifecycle of your transactions – from the consumer to the merchant’s DDA, all touchpoint must attest, and report, their cannabis compliance programs.
